About Us
Welcome to
HEALING with HOPE Corporation
HwH is dedicated to empowering the faith and Caribbean communities in Los Angeles County and beyond
by offering comprehensive services, resources, and information focused on preventing,
treating, and caring for HIV, other STIs, and broader health disparities.
About Us
Our journey began with a spark of inspiration at the XIX International AIDS Conference in Washington, DC, during the LIVING 2012 pre-conference hosted by GNP+. There, we were challenged to envision transformative changes within our communities. Originally, our focus was on fostering HIV/AIDS education within faith-based organizations in Jamaica, aiming to dismantle stigma and discrimination while creating a supportive environment for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
Since then, our mission has evolved to address the broader needs of the Caribbean community in Los Angeles County and further afield. We are committed to ensuring access to crucial information, resources, and services. Our goals are aligned with Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) in Los Angeles County:
…to facilitate timely diagnosis of HIV and other STIs,
…ensure swift access to treatment,
…minimize the transmission of HIV and other STIs,
…and combat the ignorance, stigma, anddiscrimination associated with these health issues.
