EDUCATION & PREVENTION:  EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES WITH KNOWLEDGE AND TOOLS HEALING with HOPE Corporation is dedicated to the vital mission of advancing HIV education and prevention among the Caribbean and Faith communities within Los Angele County and beyond. Our comprehensive strategy encompasses a broad range of services designed to inform, protect, and empower individuals facing HIV/AIDS, other STIs, and various health disparities.

Services We Offer:

• Education on HIV/AIDS, Other STis, and Health Disparities: We provide essential knowledge on these critical health issues, aiming to improve overall understanding and response within the community.

• Promotion of Safer Sex Practices: Encouraging safer sex through the distribution of condoms and lubricants, and education on the effectiveness of PrEP/PEP and
  DoxyPEP/ PrEP.

• Testing and Risk Reduction Counseling: Referring (Offering) to testing services for HIV, other STis, and health disparities, accompanied by counseling to help individuals reduce their risk and make informed health decisions.

• Linkage to Care: Ensuring those who test positive for HIV or other STIs are connected with the necessary medical care and support services during outreach activities.

• Cultural Competence Training: Building the capacity of our organization to deliver culturally sensitive and effective services tailored to the unique needs of the Faith/Caribbean communities.

Our Approach to Delivering Services through
the three Is:

• Focus Interventions: Engaging the broader community through diverse initiatives including clubs and events sessions, community walkthroughs, Health Fairs, outreach in educational institutions, and interventions in faith organizations and corporate settings (cultural competence training).

• Specialize Interventions: Employ specific strategies such as one-on-one/peer interventions, group or home-based interventions, organizing special events and social gatherings, and party interventions to reach those most at risk.

• Capacity Building Interventions: Strengthening the community’s response to HIV/AIDS and other health issues through life skills sessions, skills-building training, educational assistance, and empowerment training.
